show a panda some love

Sale price$50.00

The giant panda is perhaps the most powerful symbol in the world when it comes to species conservation. In China, the giant panda is a national treasure.

Adult pandas are generally solitary but communicate often through vocalization and scent marking. The giant panda's daily menu consists almost entirely of bamboo leaves, stems and shoots. Bamboo contains very little nutritional value, so pandas need to eat 12-38 kg every day to meet their energy needs.

After 30 years of slow and steady progress, the giant panda's status improved from Endangered to Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. While this is a great conservation win, giant pandas continue to face major threats including poaching and habitat loss.

With your gift of $50.00, you will be supporting WWF's efforts to expand and protect habitat for giant pandas in China.
